Patricia Gomes
Patricia has recently
begun writing again after a seventeen-year absence spent raising her
children. Her short story, Trepidation was chosen as the winning
entry in Ivillage's "Leave The Lights On" Halloween Contest
2000.
She was awarded Honorable
Mention this past April in the IBPC, (Inter-Board Poetry Competition)
hosted by Web del Sol. Patricia has also earned a place in the Ivillage
Annual Poetry Slam 2001 with her poem, Elsie Cardoza.
A writer of dark fiction,
she currently resides on the coast of Massachusetts, an area rife in
history and folklore. Patricia is working on the first in a series of
three horror novels. She is also assembling an anthology of poems dedicated
to women.
