Norman S. Pollack

A New Year's baby, born in 1942, I grew up in New Jersey. South Florida has been my home since 1977.

I've been a high school English teacher in a suburban community in New Jersey (11 years), owned three bookstores, and served as an Executive Director for non-profit organizations for seventeen years.

I currently own a software company that sells my own software program to non-profit organizations all over the country. I have been married to Vicki for the past 15 years. She was my high school "steady" for four years and after we were both in separate marriages for over twenty years, we reconnected. We each have three children and a combined five grandchildren with one more on the way.

I've written over 550 poems which I've kept and who knows how many I have tossed out. My interests and hobbies, after the grandkids, are writing, reading, gardening, cooking, playing German (Euro) board games, leading book discussion groups, Classical music, fish aquaria and, of course, computers. I also act as an active moderator on an internet poetry web site.

My poetry collection is eclectic; I write in so many different genres and styles. Some of my favorite works involve what I call "word acrobatics." I also love to write in the structured forms like the Sonnet, Dizain and Villanelle.
