Submission Guidelines

PLEASE NOTICE

As of January, 2004, Hawkwind Literary Journal is considering new submissions, but on a more limited basis. Please query first to the email link listed in the body of the submission guidelines below. We currently have a small backlog of submissions and will post those accepted as soon as possible. Thank you for your interest in our journal. WMB

All writers are encouraged to submit works to our publication. While we do not pay authors for their works published here, we do offer an outlet and a stage for recognition. New writers are certainly welcome. Religious writings can also find a home here.

Hawkwind Literary Journal is a growing international anthology of works by serious writers. We encourage the posting of collections on our site and urge writers to add works to their collections throughout the year.

Submission does not guarantee publication. All works must pass our publication policies and guidelines. These guidelines are relatively simple. We want our site to be viewable by the entire family. We will not consider anything pornographic or overtly suggestive in nature. There are already enough sites on the internet for these materials and we choose not to participate in this venue.

Submissions should be made in an electronic format, as an attachment to an email cover letter. We prefer the attachments be Microsoft Word document files or .txt files. In the case of poetry or short pieces, one may include these in the body of the email. Contact us first should you have any questions regarding additional submission formats. We do not accept hardcopy (paper) submissions.

Please include a cover letter with your submission. Please do not submit under alias names or send us the attachment only with no information at all about yourself.

Use the following address for your submissions: NOTE: Substitute the word "at" with the symbol @ when using this address. Sorry for the inconvenience but hackers have been lifting email addresses from our site and adding them to junk mail lists. This is the only way we know to prevent that practice.

After publication on this site, HAWKWIND does not retain any rights to any author's works. We are grateful that writers chose this site as their primary internet publishing outlet. Writers must secure copyright for their own works and note specifically at time of submission if the work they are submitting is copyrighted.
