Proscenium lights dim as she rises
luminous diva taking center stage.
Wardrobed in crepuscular disguises
her nocturnal house surely to engage.
New; she waits obscured behind a curtain
surrounding stars as footlights in the sky.
First Quarter; spotlight to the heroine
from stage left, partial entry by and by.
She comes to view, soliloquy nonstop
in full performance lambent lady lead
Shines on high before her velvet backdrop
her nightlong run to dawn she'll not recede.
Last Quarter; waning to her audience
Exits to day in silent deference.
